What if the Man Of Steel crash-landed in Enugu instead of Kansas?
Chijioke “Chris” Kenechukwu grows up in a small town in colonial Eastern Nigeria. He arrived from the Planet Krypton as a baby, and is adopted by a childless couple. Raised as a regular Igbo boy, he slowly masters his alien powers, coming of age as his country gets Independence.
But the new nation may not survive its own birth. Ethnic strife pulls Nigeria towards civil war, with Chijioke’s Igbo tribe at the epicentre of the conflict. Chijioke must find a way to save his people from extermination, and in the process decide whether his destiny is here on Earth, or in the mission his Kryptonian father saved his life for. Meanwhile, he must keep his identity hidden from international forces that have been on his trail since his arrival on Earth.
An action-packed superhero adventure that vividly paints the politics and warfare of 1960s Nigeria, while exploring the meaning of duty, loyalty, and patriotism.
